We are building a world where every young person benefits from mental health support.
Hi I'm Alex, co-founder and CEO of Daybreak Health. The seeds of our mission began 15 years ago with my younger brother's struggle with depression in middle school. Our family spent 100's of hours trying to find a therapist that was affordable, close to home, didn't have a waitlist, and most importantly - understood him. What we found instead: $200 sessions, multi-hour drives, 2 month wait lists, and therapists who had never worked with teens in their lives. Sound familiar? Thankfully, after 10 years and a lot of pain, my brother finally got the support he needed and deserved. We want to help families get there faster.
Daybreak clinicians specialize in working with youth and are passionate about helping young people become the best version of themselves. They come from a diverse set of backgrounds and are ready to work with youth from all backgrounds, needs and walks of life. At Daybreak we understand that "one-size-fits-one" and our matching process considers each individuals needs, goals and preferences to identify the perfect match.
Our team believes a world should exist where every young person benefits from mental health support. That's why we're building the world's first mental health system designed specifically for youth. And while it won't always be easy, we believe this is a mission worth fighting for - for youth and families who deserve the support. I invite you to join our community, and if you have a question or feedback feel free to email me directly at alex@daybreakhealth.com
