After spending 25 years in the legal field, I returned to school to pursue a career in counseling and earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. My desire to go into counseling stems from my personal experience of witnessing others struggle with mental health issues. I provide therapy services with both adolescents and adults. My experience includes working in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment center, and detention. I practice using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and strength-based approaches, all tailored to my clients’ needs. During my free time, I enjoy treasure hunting at thrift stores, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family and dogs (Witten the lab, Dizzy the Jack Russell, and Beast the mixed breed).
