Hello! My name is Monica Villar. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been working in community behavioral health for the last 10 years in Central California, primarily providing school-based counseling and also working with youth who are involved with juvenile courts. My background, prior to working as a therapist, was providing behavioral intervention to youth with developmental disorders. I also hold a credential in school counseling, so I'm familiar with the education system and how to support teens at home and at school. A little about me: I'm a very "outdoorsy" person. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, and camping with my kids, who are also teens. I enjoy all kinds of music of different genres and different decades. I also like to spend my free time reading or traveling to the beach or mountains.
