I was born in Los Angeles yet have lived in other places. I always return “home” to LA. I was a legally emancipated minor at 16 years old due to difficult family issues in my adolescence. I think, that as a result, I have always had a passion for working with teens. I have provided therapy for many populations – adults, family and adolescents. I have worked with diverse ethnic populations. I lived in Cairo, Egypt beginning in 2009 for two years. I taught Psychology at the American University at Cairo and students came to see me for therapy. Living in Cairo humbled me and opened my heart. I spent time hiking, biking, with my family and friends and with my 16 year old beagle whose name is Arthur.
